Scene 1

-        Girl is talking and playing with the doll

-        Girl: “We’re best friends, right, Lucy?”

-        Girl continues talking to the doll despite a lack of response

-        “You’re never going to leave me.”

Scene 2

-        Mothers voice is heard in the background calling for the girl

-        Mother: “Dinner’s Ready!”

-        Girl: “I’ll be right there, Mom”

Scene 3

-        The girl walks out of her room without her doll

-        Zoom in on the doll

-        Non-Diegetic Sound: Sinister/Ominous song

Scene 4

-        Girl in the background leaving the kitchen

-        Girl: “Thank you for the food, Mom!”

-        Girl returns to her room while its nighttime

-        Lighting: Dark, Nighttime

-        Door opens with the light from the house peeking into the girl’s room

Scene 5:

-        Lighting: Bright room from room lights

-        Girl checks where she left her doll at

-        Doll is missing

-        Girl calls out for the doll

-        Girl: “Lucy? Lucy where did you go?”

-        Non-Diegetic Sound: Mysterious song

Scene 6

-        POV through the girl’s perspective as she’s going around the house searching for the doll

-        Checks closet and rooms with nothing being there

-        Girl: “Hmm, where are you hiding? Couldn’t have gone far”

Scene 7

-        Girl pulls out her phone and messages her friends in a group chat

-        Girl (Texting): “Hey guys, can you help me look for Lucy?”

-        Marvin: “Lucy? Who’s that?”

-        Ashley: “She’s talking about her creepy doll”

-        Girl: “Yes, can you guys’ help look for her. I know its late, but I really would appreciate it”

-        Brittany: “Alright fine. Be right there.”

 One thing that 12 Monkeys does is make it seem very dull on purpose. The short film uses a narrator with a very monotone voice to show this off. Also, the movie uses still images and adds voiceovers or other sounds to them after. This once again achieves the same goal, being to make the film detached. Le Jetee uses certain transitions to acquire a "dream-like ambiance" which helps to contrast the clean shots when characters are conversing. The film also uses audio to great effect and adds it a lot of important and disturbing imagery to amplify the visuals. An example used for this is the audio of a heart beating for a dramatic and intense scene. This helps the audience feel the intensity of the pictures being shown as if their own heart was racing. Another example of this is a slick and romantic score for a positive effect on the audience, once again enhancing the images. Editing for Short Film Begins

 Today we will be starting editing for the short film. Editing begins with software to make changes to the scenes we shot. While I am not experienced in editing, I can still give advice and recommendations on edits. Also, I can discuss what I want to see being edited in the film. Besides that, my group did the editing itself. Due to this, I will be discussing what they did and how I am involved. First of all, my groupmates who edited have experience in editing. This was the reason why they edited the film rather than me. Also, they have experience in different software for editing. Despite this, we ended up staying primarily with iMovie. I suggested iMovie for many reasons. The main reason to use iMovie is that it's free, allowing it to be an affordable option for all. It's also accessible on all devices. iMovie can be found on laptops, phones, and tablets. Production For My Short Film Continues

I'm back to filming! This time we continued filming in the mall. It was the same location as last time as we were familiar with it already. We needed to be more careful with the scheduling of our filming this time. The filming location was a mall but unfortunately, it closed before we could get further into production. This filming day was different as we got to continue and further develop our short film. Before leaving my house, I checked the hours of the mall closing time to ensure the same mistake would not be repeated twice. I set a specific time for everyone to arrive at the location to film but we all arrived a bit later than intended. Luckily, this was barely a setback for us and we started right away. Because we chose to film on a weekday after school, the mall didn't have as many people as it would've on another day.
