CCR - Music Video

Final Music Video

Image
This was my second time working on a project like this. I had a great experience working with my friends. We had a great time and did the job. We created a wonderful Music video. I did notice some areas where we could have made improvements in the final result. This will only leave room for future initiatives to improve. I'm proud of my team and I, as well as the music video we all created. I believe we effectively used our expertise to convey what we know. I'm looking forward to working on my next project and seeing how far I've progressed. Hopefully we all get to work together again in future projects.

The second part of editing was mainly just to touch up on mistakes and finish polishing the video. The biggest part of the video was including the music we wanted. The song we put for our project was Birthday by Katy Perry. What this meant was that my group had to include the song by downloading it and adding it in production. This was just done by searching it up on YouTube and getting it that way. Once again iMovie was used for the adding process. Without the music the video wouldn’t be the same so it was crucial to get this part right during editing. Since the music was added there needed to be no background sounds or other people talking. This is so people could listen to the music and understand it without interruptions. This meant that other people talking needed to be replaced over with the music which was simple to do. For example when my group was at the park we were singing happy birthday while filming but it had to later be cut out and replaced for the real song. With the m

The editing of the video was extremely important as there were multiple locations that needed to be stitched together. The first part was to cut out all the failed shots. This would include moments where the actors would laugh or do the wrong actions. Some parts had to be cropped as there was something we didn’t want shown in the scenes like background people. Next up some scenes had to be put in the right order so it matches the story. This was important to match the storyline in editing by cutting and pasting the scenes where they needed to be. Since my group filmed back to back the editing was easier as it was naturally in the right order for the most part. The editing was done on a computer. The program the editing was done on was iMovie since it was easy and free. Additionally, iMovie allows editing to be done from computer or phone. This allowed easy access to switch platforms and make editing a much simpler task. Another important part was to make sure the video was the exact ti

The second part of filming was on Wednesday December 1st. This was the day after my group and I filmed part one in target. I decided to do the filming on consecutive days so we could get it out of the way quickly. Immediately after school I met up with one of my group mates so that we could walk together to our location. The first place I had to go to was my grandmas house to pick up the cake I bought the day before. After picking up the cake my group mate and I walked to the park where we would begin filming. After we waited and looked over everything my other group member arrived and we were ready to set up. We had many different ideas however most didn’t work given our location, but my group decided to go to a nearby store and buy more things to improve our situation. I put decorations on the table and also plates and napkins. One problem we had was that we had purchased balloons but had nothing to tie it to. One of my group mates went and tried to buy someone to tie the balloons to

Filming started on Tuesday, November 30th. Before filming began I talked to my group about what we were doing and where to meet exactly. I didn't want to leave any details out as I didn't want to waste my time. To film my group and I went to the Target at Coral Ridge Mall at 4:30 PM. I decided to meet up with my groupmates at the entrance of Target. This is where filming would begin first. I originally suggested the location as there were good props for our video. I viewed some birthday items such as confetti and party hats. After that I bought what I thought would look nice for the music video. After observing the area and objects around, I assigned one of my group members to film. While different people act one of my groupmates would film me and other people. My role in the video was an actor that would be buying props for a party. I had to do several different takes as the angles may have not been what I envisioned. Finally the perfect scene had been finished and I thought i
