Final Production Blog

The second part of editing was mainly just to touch up on mistakes and finish polishing the video. The biggest part of the video was including the music we wanted. The song we put for our project was Birthday by Katy Perry. What this meant was that my group had to include the song by downloading it and adding it in production. This was just done by searching it up on YouTube and getting it that way. Once again iMovie was used for the adding process. Without the music the video wouldn’t be the same so it was crucial to get this part right during editing. Since the music was added there needed to be no background sounds or other people talking. This is so people could listen to the music and understand it without interruptions. This meant that other people talking needed to be replaced over with the music which was simple to do. For example when my group was at the park we were singing happy birthday while filming but it had to later be cut out and replaced for the real song. With the most important part done the only thing left was to polish the video and make sure the editing was good. The title in the beginning was added to give credit to the song and it’s artist, Katy Perry. The outro was made to give credits to people who helped us make the video. My group decided collectively to credit the editors and the actors separately as they both played different huge roles. After the transitions were finished and the credits were given all that was needed left to do was check and go over it. My whole group reviewed it and we all loved it. The editing of it all was pretty simple and nothing too difficult was done. With all of these changes done the time limit was hit and the video was finished. Finally the final product was completed and ready to upload.
