One thing that the opening sequence does well is create a threat with just angles and shots. In the opening, there are multiple tracking shots of Casey walking through her house. The movie also shows a POV shot of Casey looking through her door with the visuals of the door pattern from her perspective. Technology is also being used by using the cellphone as the premise of the opening.
