Group Blog
For the first project of my A level of media studies, I am working in a group of 3. Groups can often be beneficial to help balance workloads out and get various ideas. Because of this, I decided to involve my friends in my project again. My group consists of Withly Pierrette, Jennifer Depaz, and myself. I have worked with these people for past films and have experience with them. I have known Withly since middle school as we had the same class together. I've known Jennifer since my sophomore year of high school. Due to this fact, I know I can trust them to be reliable and communicative for future projects. I have the same class period as Withly, which allows me to discuss potential ideas with her in real-time and adapt ideas quicker. For Jennifer, she is in the same media studies class and level as me, just in a different class period. This issue is solved through messaging and other forms of communication though. We all can work as a group effectively because we all have been acquainted with each other before this year. In my previous year of media studies, there were a lot of discussions on conflicting topics and confusion among each other. Since this is the second year, we have cleared confusion among our group and figured out our preferred roles in the project. Additionally, I believe our group has several advantages that can be used and transferred to filming. One example of this is our thinking skills and ideas. My group members and I often think in unorthodox ways which can cause creative ideas to pop up for usage. I'm excited to be working in a group for my projects again!
